Who Are We

Hello There,
We are Kitchener kids, and we’re here to help as much as we can
We are busy moms with never ending to-do lists, but know the importance of teaching good values to our kids at an early age
We are hard working dads who want to set good examples for our little ones
We are Grand parents, Nanis, Nanas, Dadas and Dadis who know the importance of a strong community
We are Uncles and Aunts who show up and take time to help
We are friends who are always there for each other
We're your neighbours..
.. and We're So Excited You Care!
How It All Began
It began over a dinner table conversation

We were chatting with my 3year old, about the importance of Ramadan. We talked about praying, fasting, reading the Quran, and doing charity.

He understood most of it, but he didn't understand "charity". Donating money didn't make any sense to him. Donating money did not affect him in any way. So to make it easier to understand, I thought lets speak his language - let's talk about toys instead.
The more we talked the more important this topic became. We decided to buy some toys, and share them with some friends who may not have as many toys as him. That night I searched the internet looking for a Ramadan or Eid Toy drive to donate to - BUT we did'nt find one!
Later that week I began reaching out to community partners to support the distribution of the gifts collected, and thats how the Beaver Eid Toy Drive (BETD) came into being in 2018.
